Color me rad one week, Alberta ride to conquer cancer the next, and spartan race the week after! Here’s some information on the ride!
We did it again! Two years in a row for me, two years straight for Allyn (third time overall) and each of us raised over $2,500! Over $10,000 raised in the last two years for both of us, something we’re very proud of.
If you haven’t participated in the Alberta ride to conquer cancer, you’re truly missing out, it’s life changing in some ways and can sometimes push you to your limits!
If you don’t recall, last year it rained, and poured, and continued to rain day after day, it wasn’t very enjoyable, but it made the ride challenging and all the more rewarding. I came across this awesome video from Duane Sharman, which has highlights from the ride last year:
As you can see there was a lot of rain and mud for everyone to enjoy! This year though the weather was spectacular! Tons of sun, smiles, and good times.
Here’s a video of Allyn and I riding in to the Okotoks camp after day 1, so happy to see so many wonderful supporters and volunteers as always, they make the ride that much better in every way imaginable!
Thank you to all the staff, volunteers, emergency responders, and riders for a wonderful 2013 Alberta ride to conquer cancer. Stay tuned for my post soon on our Spartan race adventure!
