Johnston Canyon, Sawback Burn, Elbow Falls, Peter Lougheed Provincial Park, Lake Vermillion, Alberta Prairies & more are featured in this new HUGE blog post.
These are the locations of my next shots that I am posting.
This first shot was taken on the way from Peter Lougheed provincial park, through the Spray Lakes, and to the back end of Canmore. It is titled ‘Banff Skyline II’ as this is the second time I have hit this location up (last being in 2008) but this time during winter! I’ll post the new picture first and then the older one right below.

These next two images are done in black and white and showcase the beautiful Alberta Prairies. I really want to get out a lot this summer (especially during storms) to get some nice prairie shots.
Next locale features some awesome wildlife. If you want to see a bald eagle in Banff I’d highly recommend going to Lake Vermillion when the weather warms up. There’s an eagles nest there, they’ve been there the past few years, and it’s not very far out from the road so you can get some great shots with a longer lens.

This next shot was taken at Elbow falls, it’s a great location for families and visitors to get some mountains, waterfalls, and wildlife in.
These last two shots are my favorites from this post. The first shot is from Johnston Caynon, it’s a great hike, great scenery, and something you should definitely check out if you never have.
My last shot in this update is another rework of a shot that was at the Calgary Stampede Western Showcase last year. It’s titled Skinned II.It’s taken on the Bow Valley parkway from Banff to Lake Louise and is in the Sawback prescribed burn area.
